Yesterday was the perfect day for the Olympic Torch Relay! In Cheltenham, it went right past the shop, and the turn out was phenomenal, we could not believe it. We thought we would share the photos of the event as a lot of people are unable to attend the relay. It is apart of history and such a great community feel when you see it! Even if you are standing around for 3.5 hours in 30 plus degrees!

Above is our tribute to the Olympic games, lots of cake still left so if you are about and fancy some, pop in, it’s free!

Cheltenham will be embracing the arrival of the Olympic Torch tomorrow, MAY 23rd 2012! So it will be commencing down bath road at 17.45, make sure you get down early to get a spot on the street! Now, being a mum, i barely have enugh time to breath, so when an oppertunity to make some fresh bread is available, i will always jump at the chance - Especially Soda bread, as it is almost as easy to make as foccatia! And so yummy toasted, dripping with butter!

Generally it is seen alot healthier to east than other breads, but not if you slap aload of butter on it! My mum introduced me to it when she was particapating in a non wheat, no sugar and non dairy diet a few years ago.

Ingredients

• 150g plain flour
• 150g wholemeal flour
• 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
• 1½ tsp salt
• 250ml buttermilk

1. Heat the oven to 200C/fan 180C/gas 6. Mix the flours, bicarb and salt in a bowl. Add the buttermilk, then stir to form a dough. Knead briefly then form into a ball. Put on a floured baking sheet then slash a cross in the top.
2. Bake for 30-40 minutes until it sounds hollow when you tap on the

Well we have recieved an email telling us the tewkesbury food festival has been cancelled. I am gutted, as it would have been amazing! Sad times
